5 Things I Need to Work On in 2015

I know everyone always says “new year, new me”, but what if I want to remain the same, but just a better version? Yeah, that’s what I’m aiming for. I created a list of 5 things I need to work on in order to be a better version of myself.

1. Stop Stressing.
If you know me personally, you know I’m the biggest worry worm; I’m pretty sure it’s hereditary, because momma bear and grammy-poo are the same way. I need to stop stressing about situations I have no control over. Not only does it take away from my happiness, but it’s absolutely pointless. To be quite honest, most of the things I stress about never actually happen, it’s just like I’m anticipating for it to happen.

 2. Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self.
I need to stop allowing things to get under my skin. I need to make an effort to not get annoyed at LA’s horrible traffic and drivers, bad customer service, not finding the perfect avocado ( I know you feel- me). I need to check myself, because it’s just not that serious and it’s not worth the headache.

3. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask.
If you never ask, the answer is always no.

4. Selective Social.
Continue to be selective with the people you let in your life; energy is everything. It’s okay to politely cut people off.

5. Be Thankful Everyday.
We get caught up with everyday life that we forget to be thankful for waking up another day. We overlook things like being able to hear beautiful sounds, and see beautiful things. The things we think we’ll always have, we take for granted. Stop taking things for granted.
