I know I write about life a lot, but I feel like I’m constantly trying to figure (or not) it out. Here are 7 inevitable truths of life.
1. You’re going to get your heartbroken.
This is inevitable. Someone is going to come into your life and break your heart into a million pieces. Heartbreak doesn’t always come from someone you’re dating; anyone is capable of breaking your heart. Don’t be afraid of loving someone because you don’t want to be heartbroken. Love without fear.
2. You are going to feel inadequate.
You’re going to question your value, whether it’s in the workplace, your romantic relationship, or even friendships. Just remember, you are enough!
3. Everyone is Weird.
Everyone is weird, but I guess, technically, that would make everyone normal? Who knows? We are all strange; some of us embrace it, while some of us prefer to act like we’re cooler than a Polar Bear’s toe nails (Outkast reference). Everyone has their own quirkiness; learn to love it.
4. Nobody knows what they’re doing.
Everyone is pretty much figuring out life as they go. No one really knows what they’re doing; they’re just good at faking it. So, next time you feel like you’re dumb for not knowing something, just remember to fake it ’til you make it!
5. Success is a journey, not a destination.
Everyone has a different definition of success. We think that once we attain our dream job it means that we have “made it”, but don’t feel bad when you realize that you still feel unfulfilled, that means that you are destined for more. You have so much potential, why would you settle? Be great!
6. Life is going to be full of highs and lows.
Oftentimes we picture this perfect life that we’re waiting to have. That perfect life you dream of is a figment of your imagination. Yes, we’re going to have those beautiful, perfect moments, but they will only be moments. What goes up, must come down; with good, comes bad. So, enjoy the good times because it won’t last, and don’t worry about the bad times, because it won’t last.
7. Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable.
In order to progress in life, you have to take yourself out of your comfort zone. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but that’s where all the amazing opportunities are.
