PREVIEW: ‘Biggie: The Life of the Notorious B.I.G.’

By Zaida Diaz

His name was and continues to be synonymous with East Coast gangsta rap. He had an effortless flow and a knack for storytelling. Christopher Wallace, better known as The Notorious B.I.G., had a short breadth of fame as he passed away at the young age of 24. While only releasing two studio albums under P. Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, Biggie established himself as one of the biggest names in hip-hop with Ready to Die and Life After Death.

His music lives on and years after his death two more projects, using previously unreleased material, would be made available for fans. In a new A&E documentary set to release next week, industry figures including Jay Z and Nas remember his legacy. Watch the preview to “Biggie: The Life of the Notorious B.I.G.” below.
